SPEAKING FEES AND REPRESENTATION SUPPORT
Survivor Expertise Is Professional Expertise
Dawn McCarty is available for paid keynotes, featured presentations, panels, professional trainings, interviews, and survivor-informed education events. After more than a decade of unpaid advocacy and public education, Dawn no longer treats her lived experience, professional analysis, or survivor expertise as free labor.
Speaking invitations are evaluated according to audience, event scope, preparation time, travel, emotional labor, professional value, and the purpose of the platform.
Professional and Conference Requests
Dawn does not pay out of pocket to provide survivor expertise in professional spaces. For conferences, universities, clinical trainings, legal education events, policy conversations, or international appearances, organizers are expected to provide appropriate compensation and cover required participation costs, including travel, lodging, meals, ground transportation, and registration.
Nothing About Us, Without Us requires more than an invitation. It requires access, respect, and resources.
Support May Include
- Speaker fee or honorarium
- Travel and lodging
- Registration waiver
- Per diem or meal support
- Ground transportation
- Sponsorship, scholarship, grant, or crowdfunding pathway
- Paid workshop or training add-on
Community and Awareness Events
Dawn may consider select reduced-fee or no-fee appearances for aligned survivor education, Mental Health Awareness, CPA-PAA awareness, nonprofit education, podcast interviews, or public-interest conversations. These decisions are made case by case and do not apply to professional conferences or organizations that have budgets, registration income, institutional funding, or paid presenters.
